Recently, several teachers at Cravens Elementary School here in Owensboro decided to create a running club.  Today, for WBKR's Sweatin' for St. Jude, they laced up and brought the club to EDGEFIT to run for the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

AnnMichael Hamilton, the group's leader, says that she has trouble listening to the St. Jude Radiothon on WBKR when it airs each February, but knew that she wanted to something to help.  When she heard about Sweatin' for St. Jude and this year's 301 5Ks in a Day, she decided to rally some fellow teachers (and new runners) to join in.

So, they decked themselves out in t-shirts designed by Jeanine Woods and took over the treadmills at EDGEFIT.

Knocking down 5Ks today (the final day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month) were AnnMichael, Jeanine, Donna Bray, Tara Jones, Emily Brown, Tayler Bibb, Cortney Roby and Jennifer Hensley.

In addition to running 5Ks, each member of the Cravens team made a donation to St. Jude!
