East View Elementary School students will have the chance to learn where the milk they drink comes from when a dairy cow visits them from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13th, 2019. Daisy will hopefully be just as excited!

Haley Fisher, a representative of Southland Dairy Farmers, will bring Daisy the cow to the school for children to see, and will also provide a demonstration of the cow being milked.

For many students, this will be their first time to see a live cow up close,” said Stacey Small, a third-grade teacher. “Our goal is to teach the children the importance of dairy farming, as well as other farming, and learn how we rely on farming for our basic needs, especially here in Kentucky.”

WBKR will be on hand and hopefully will not have to give a "hand" to help milk Daisy! It's going to be a blast for these kiddos!
