With the world of education finding it necessary to make learning at home an option due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it makes sense that this new frontier would require the creation of a new position in public education.

Daviess County Public Schools are reopening for the 2020-21 school year with In Person Education (the A/B option) and Virtual Academy as choices.

Therefore, DCPS has hired Chad Alward to be its Virtual Academy Director.

Chad has been the assistant principal at Daviess County High School for the last seven years and will now move into a position in which his chief goal will be to "provide supports for the teachers and students while doing everything I can to help the team develop effective online instruction with high quality lessons through a blended use of technology and traditional strategies."
