DC Fire Department 7th Annual WBKR Christmas Wish Golf Scramble

You still have time to get a team together to help make sure every child in the tri-state gets a visit from Santa this year. The Christmas Wish Golf Scramble with the Daviess County Fire Department is right around the corner.

Daviess County Fire Department has been a major Christmas Wish supporter every year. We always know that we can count on them to make dreams come true for area children! You can be part of this amazing mission.

Throughout the years it's been a blessing to work with these local heroes. Although Kevin Shown has retired and will no longer lead the cause, others have stepped up to carry on the tradition. And, for this we are grateful. We are also grateful for Kevin's servant heart and how passionate he has been for this cause. Enjoy your retirement and know that the Christmas Wish family will miss you!

"We celebrate the retirement of Engineer Kevin Shown. Kevin started his career with us in October 2000, and has been instrumental in several projects over his tenure. Probably most notabable is his passion to ensure the less fortunate children of our community have some Christmas cheer by raising money for Christmas Wish. Over his career, Kevin has orchestrated multiple fundraisers that have raised tens of thousands of dollars for the children. Kevin has exemplified what it means to be a public servant, and is a fine example of a true firefighter. He has made his mark on this community and our department, and his presence will be missed.

Kevin we wish you and Susan the best on your well deserved retirement, and look forward to seeing you on the golf course."

7th Annual WBKR Christmas Wish Golf Scramble

Saturday, September 25^th, 2020 at Ben Hawes Golf Course.

The cost per team is $200, with up to four players per team. Fee will include green fees, cart rental, 18 holes and many contests held throughout the event!

Must arrive for registration by 7:30am and tee time is 8:00am. Food & Drinks will be provided. There will also be Door Prizes.

ALL proceeds benefit Christmas Wish. You can register at any DCFD station, either Airport Road or Country Side Drive.
