Listen to Chad and Angel’s Interview with Deana Carter on WBKR
Deana Carter is coming to Dubois County Saturday night for Boots & Bulls. It's an event that combines bull riding with country music and is set to take place at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds.
Friday morning, here on WBKR, Deana Carter joined Angel and me to chat about the event.
If you'd like to attend Boots & Bulls, you can get your tickets now. In fact, they MUST be purchased in advance. According to a Facebook post made yesterday, the event is expected to sell out. However, if it doesn't, it's possible there will be the chance to purchase tickets at the gate. Organizers say "We will make an announcement *IF* tickets are available at the gate the day of the event."
The event, which is sponsored by the Indiana National Guard, will take place at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds. Gates open at 4pm Saturday. The rodeo is set to begin at 5pm and Deana Carter is set to take the stage at 7pm. **All times are Eastern**
Tickets are just $20 and can be purchased at DCBootsandBulls.com. Kids 8 and under are free.
In addition to rodeo action and the Deana Carter concert, there will be food trucks and, yes, beer!
Deana Carter's debut album Did I Shave My Legs for This? was an instant smash when it was released in March of 1995. It spawned four top ten hits, including a handful of #1 songs on the Billboard Country Chart. She first reached #1 with her signature song "Strawberry Wine."
She also scored #1s with "We Danced Anyway"
and "How Do I Get There?"
She had an additional Billboard Top Ten hit from the album with "Count Me In."
Don't miss the Dubois County Boots & Bulls event Saturday, June 5th, 2021! And a big THANK YOU to Deana Carter for joining us on the WBKR morning show today!
