It all started when I saw this clip from backstage Saturday at the Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island. Wow! Now here's a few more from the new country supergroup The Highwomen and Dolly Parton.
Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby make up The Highwomen; their self-titled debut album will be released on September 6th. They were also joined on stage by artist, songwriter, and producer Linda Perry. Perry recently produced Parton's Golden Globe-nominated song "Girl in the Movies" for the Netflix film Dumplin'.
