Downtown Owensboro’s New Hotel Announced

Not too long ago, it was announced that a new hotel was coming to downtown Owensboro across from the Owensboro Convention Center.

Wednesday morning, the word came that Home2 Suites by Hilton will be that hotel.

And, to be more specific, it will be a mixed-used property.

According to Eyewitness News/WEHT, who spoke with Gulf Stream Development of Owensboro, the new facility will be split into three sections--one containing 160 apartments, another with 120 hotel rooms, and a parking garage.

No word, yet, on when work on the project will begin or an estimated time of completion.
