Evansville’s Annual ‘Energy for Life Walk’ is Set for Saturday May 9th
The annual event will help raise funds and awareness for those battling Mitochondrial disease, a potentially life-threatening condition that affects the cells ability to produce the required energy needed for the body to function properly.
Here's a little bit about Mitochondrial disease from Jack Black
Mitochondrial disease can affect any organ in the body at any age and there are currently no known treatments or cures.
You can help be a part of finding a cure by going out and supporting the Energy for Life Walk at Burdette Park on May 9th. Registration begins at 9am the day of the walk with the event itself beginning at 10:30am. It's free to participate in the walk, however donations are encouraged, and help greatly! For more info on Mitochondrial Disease, the UMDF, and how you or a local business can participate in the walk itself, visit the UMDF online.
