Friends of Sinners (Shaped by Faith)

Let me introduce Jordan Wilson, my guest this week on Shaped by Faith. He is the Development Director of Friends of Sinners. Jordan was the Public Relations Manager for the Isaiah Treatment Center in Willisburg, KY before starting his new position with Friends of Sinners.

Friends of Sinners is a, Christ-centered residential substance recovery program that operates a men's facility on Clay Street and a women's facility on Triplett Street.

There are a lot of events coming up for Friends of Sinners that Jordan wanted to talk about. They are hosting a free community event called, Unchained. This annual fundraising event will take place this coming Saturday, August 24th, at Chautauqua Park between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. There will be bouncy houses for the kids and Spiderman will also be making a special appearance.

A Silent Auction is taking place during the event with over 100 items and services that will be sold. There will also be plenty of food available to purchase. Friends of Sinners will be selling ribs for $25 and Boston butts for $30.

You can pre-order both of these items by calling Joe Welsh, Director of FOS, at 270-302-1161. Unchained is an event for the entire family, with live Christian Music to listen to and lots of activities for the kids.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Friends of Sinners.
