FCC Will Propose Rule to Block Robocalls

My phone lights up with robocalls all day long. Drives me crazy. I like to get to a land line and call them back. And there's never anyone there. You know what I'm talking about, don't you?

Recently, AT&T has sent me warnings--like the one above--about suspicious phone calls.

It also alerts me to telemarketers.

I'd love it if AT&T didn't have to alert me AT ALL.

Hopefully, I'll get my wish soon as the Federal Communications Commission plans to propose a ban on robocalls.

I don't know anyone who isn't plagued by this particular annoyance. Fingers crossed that this plague will vanish in the near future. And the nearer the better.

With the new legislation, AT&T wouldn't have to warn me or you anymore. The calls simply wouldn't get as far as our phones.

Bring it! I'm ready.
