Free Skateboarding

Gift will host Henderson's only totally free indoor skatepark where skaters can borrow loner boards and protective gear if they don't have their own, all while skating and grinding in a safe environment. They will even offer free lessons regularly with some of the city's most experienced skaters.

I've never met a skateboarder whose path in life wasn't directly influenced, in a positive way, by the lessons they learned from skating. - Matt Glick, Executive Director of Gift Skateboarding

How You Can Support Gift

Gift Skateboarding provides the community with a staffed indoor skatepark, loner gear, and lessons - all for free. The organization also donates boards and other gear to low-income individuals. Gift Skateboarding does have a 501-c3 designation which means that donations to the organization are tax-deductible and there are plenty of ways that you can help. You can make a donation, or become a corporate sponsor, which is a cool way to have your business logo on display inside the park. You could get involved in other ways by volunteering your time or talents.

Benefit Dinner

On March 11, 2023, Gift will be hosting a benefit gala dinner at the Elm in downtown Henderson. Tickets are $75 each and include dinner, one specialty cocktail, access to the silent auction, inclusion in the drawings for the door prizes, and a Gift Skateboarding t-shirt. Tickets can be purchased at GiftSkateboarding.com and are limited to only 150.

Skateboarding is Illegal in these Downtown Evansville Locations

If you love to skateboard, you need to know that there are some locations where it is actually illegal to boardslide or bonk. Every violation could cost $25, and if the offender is under 18, parents get to pay the ticket.
