Gunman Kills 12 at Midnight Showing of Dark Knight Rises at Denver Theater
Why the gunman opened fire is still not known, but in the early morning hours a gunman opened fire on a crowd of people at a midnight showing of 'The Dark Knight Rises.' Fourteen people died and another 50 were injured.
Witnesses say that the suspect was wearing a bullet proof vest and a helmet. Before opening the fire, the suspect threw what appeared to be a gas canister filling the theater with smoke.
