Have You Heard of Shady Pines at Rough River Lake In Kentucky (VIDEO)

Say it with me "SHADY PINES MA!?"  Oh, I can literally hear Dorothy saying it right now!  Did you know Kentucky has its' own Shady Pines?

Angel here and this past weekend Joe and I celebrated our five-year wedding anniversary at Shady Pines.  No, not the retirement home but definitely a place I wouldn't mind retiring to if given the chance.

If you'll remember Sophia was always being threatened to head back to this dreadful nursing home.

I always imagined that Shady Pines would be a bit institutional but if this is what the Shady Pines life is all about give me all the blue hair, a straw purse, and orthopedic shoes and ship momma off!

Shady Pines features two bedrooms & two bath cabin sits on its own private peninsula on Rough River Lake. Direct land to water access, huge yard, and outdoor fireplace. The cabin is surrounded by private wooded land and water. It's perfect for a getaway with family and friends. It is near Rough River State Park which has several activities for the entire family.

How awesome right?!  I know I will be making plans to stay in the near future!  And I might even bring a cheesecake...who wants to go?  Unfortunately, the cabin is no longer being rented to the public but there are tons of cabins for rent at the lake.  See Below.
