Edge Body Boot Camp is gearing up to host its first ever Healthy Habits Expo.  It's set for Saturday, August 7th from 10am to 1p at the Owensboro Athletic Club on Frederica Street.  My friend Chris Zachary has organized the event, which promises to stress the importance of exercise, a healthy diet and all the benefits of an active lifestyle.

Admission to the Expo will be $5 per person and ALL proceeds will benefit Edge Body Boot Camp member Kim Howard, who is currently battling breast cancer. Those collected funds will be use to offset medicals costs for treatments, etc.

Chris says the mission of the Healthy Habits Expo is quite simple- to increase the Owensboro community's awareness of different health and wellness companies that can help you succeed in your journey to better health.  And there are a bunch of vendors already on board for the event.  Here's the list of folks currently signed up to participate:

Baking Blessings

Bonnie Rae Boutique

Buff City Soap

Crave Nutrition

Cyro Body Creation

Ericka Roberts Yoga

Faster Way to Fat Loss with Sammi Roberts

Grindstone Trading Co

Legends Outfitters

Pure Barre

Syd's Plants

Zyia Activewear w/ Haley Zachary

All vendors attending, and Chris expects to announce even more soon, will have items for sale as well as information about their products and services.  And there will be FREE giveaways.

The Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center's Bloodmobile will also be on site for a community blood drive.  As you may know, WKRBC supplies blood for nine different medical facilities/providers in western Kentucky.  That's precisely why your donations at events like the Healthy Habits Expo are so important.

There will also be some food trucks on hand including J's Good Grub, Kona Ice and a lemonade stand w/ Adalyn Burch.
