This is going to be so much fun!  Female students from Owensboro, Apollo and Daviess County High Schools are joining forces for a Powder Puff football tournament that will benefit Girls Incorporated.

The tournament is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Owensboro High School's Rash Stadium. Girls from OHS, Apollo and Daviess county will compete with flag football rules in games officiated by KHSAA licensed officials.

Admission to the tournament is $2 per person or a donation of items to benefit Girls Inc. Concessions will be available, including Chick-fil-A sandwiches, with a portion of proceeds also benefiting Girls Incorporated.

The first annual Powder Puff tournament is sponsored by the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, encourages leadership skills among students. According to a press release from DCPS, "The Leader Academy challenges students to develop an Impact Project that will make a difference in their community; this year’s students have decided to host a Powder Puff game to benefit an organization that empowers girls and young women."
