Is the stage calling out to you? Does the thought of performing in front of large crowds get your adrenaline pumping (in a good way, not an "Oh my GOD! I'm going to die!" kind of way)? Then Holiday World may just be the outlet you need to express yourself.

The wildly popular theme park in Santa Claus, Indiana will be holding auditions for singers, dancers, and musicians on January 28th at Noon Central Time at the park. According to information posted on the Holiday World website, stage shows "consist mainly of pop, country, contemporary Christian, musical theater, and acapella vocal stylings plus jazz and lyrical dance."

Those interested in auditioning for a singing and / or dancing spot will need the following:

  • Your best 16 bars of both a ballad and up-tempo vocal selection. (Holiday World representatives ask performers to start with their strongest song, as they may not be able to see both.)
  • A CD accompaniment, MP3 player, or cell phone (no recorded vocals).
  • Character heels and jazz shoes.
  • A current head shot and resume.
  • Appropriate dance attire

Interested dancers must be at least 16 years old when rehearsals start in May.

If your playing an instrument is more your forte, the park will also be auditioning instrumentalists for guitarists, a bass player, a keyboardist, drummer, and fiddle player in their Country: LIVE! band on the 28th. Those interested must have the following qualities:

  • Ability to sight-read music
  • Be passionate about live performance
  • Excellent at improvisation
  • Able to play at least one instrument exceptionally
