Shaped by Faith guest Jon Brennan is the Pastor of Spiritual Development at Sozo Children in Birmingham Alabama. Jon is one of the most memorable cast members of 'The Real World' that aired on MTV in the 90's.

Jon moved to Alabama in 2007 and went on a mission trip to Africa. Since that first mission trip Jon knew God was calling him to work with the Sozo Children in Uganda. Jon and a group of people who had a vision to help the children in Uganda started Sozo Children. The Mission of Sozo Children is to "Glorify God through saving children in need, building community, and connecting individuals to all experience the love of Jesus Christ."

Sozo exists not to change a child’s culture, but to be ambassadors of Christ to advocate for His children.  Sozo means "to save." Therefore he is able to completely save those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. I had fun getting to spend time with Jon and having him demonstrate an exercise that helps strengthen our legs and works on core strength and stabilization muscles all at the same time. He tested out a balance disc for the first time. We should all be working on our balance and stability as often as we can. You can practice in your home or anywhere by just standing on one leg for 30 seconds and then switching to the other leg. Repeat often. A little bit of balance goes a long way!
