How to Find Road Condition Information in Kentucky and Indiana
A winter storm warning has been issued with everything on the table--freezing rain, sleet, and 2-4 inches of snow. Needless to say, road conditions will deteriorate quickly when this thing hits.
I don't think we'll have to do much wondering about how the roads will be at the onset of this storm.
In other words, if you don't have to be on 'em, don't.
Of course, tomorrow's a work day so that simple solution may not apply to some.
If you are in Kentucky and want to keep track of road conditions throughout the storm and in the aftermath (keep in mind that once the precip stops falling, we'll be below freezing again), you can check the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's website. There's nothing on it right now, but it's also 61 degrees so there wouldn't be.
If you're in Indiana, you can visit the Indiana Department of Transportation's website or the Department of Homeland Security.
Please be careful and give yourself extra time in the coming days.
