I'm not sure streaming services have experienced the kind of activity they've experienced in the eight-plus months since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If there ever was a time to launch a new series on Netflix, Hulu, or Prime, 2020 would have been the year to do it.

But while so many found NEW series that captured their interests, I mostly drifted back into watching what I call "comfort" TV--shows that I love so much, I can watch them over and over again.

I have tried new series this year, but I've gotten burnt out on them fairly quickly--although Watchmen on HBO Max was amazing.

Maybe it's psychological. I don't think it's going out on a limb to say that 2020 could go down as the LEAST favorite year for a majority of humans. And so we've been seeking out entertainment like never before.

For me, old favorites have been the balm for a frustrating, pandemic-ridden year.
