Dispute in An Illinois Bar and Grill Ends With 4 People Shot

Four individuals were shot at a bar and grill just outside of Rockford early on Sunday morning, with one of the victims sustaining life-threatening injuries.

According to the press release from the Winnebago County Sheriff's office, the incident occurred around 1 am at the Onyx Bar and Grill located at 1001 West Lane Road in Machesney Park.

Deputies were dispatched to the scene for a shooting with multiple victims and upon arrival discovered that "a dispute occurred in the bar and shots were fired."

Four individuals sustained gunshot injuries during the shooting and were transported to Rockford area hospitals, with one of the victims sustaining injuries that were considered "life-threatening," according to the press release.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting and asks that anyone who has information about the incident call 815-282-2600 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.
