Illinois Food Truck’s Spin On Grilled Cheese Is Worth A Visit
There are a ton of food trucks in Illinois and that is nothing to complain about. I absolutely love food truck food. I've never eaten from one and then thought, "Meh." or "That wasn't very good."
Northern Illinois alone many great food trucks rolling through town.
Here are just a few of them:
15th & Chris
Olivo Taco
The Olive Branch
Veebo's Pizza
Wok n Roll by Bamboo
Food truck festivals are around every corner, at every "market", at carnivals and concerts, and scattered throughout sho[[ing center parking lots. Their appearances are not just on weekends either. This is the case for a food truck I spotted today and I am so glad I stopped.
WALK-UP, NO DRIVE-THRU
Sure, I could have driven a few minutes to a number of drive-thrus but I figured I'd give this standalone food truck a chance.
When I parked I wasn't even sure what they were serving but with risk can come a reward, a mouth-watering taste bud activating reward.
Where is this mouth-watering food truck?
One of its locations is at Forest Plaza, near E State and Bienterra Trail.
THE FOOD TRUCK?!
It's Batchz BBQ and it's definitely a truck you want to visit. Are you wondering about the menu?
This menu is what I like about a food truck, very simple and does not have too many options.
I opted for the Like Butter Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese. It was nothing short of amazing. But, something else blew my mind too.
The man serving up that fantastic food combo offered me a brisket-filled tamale. Are you kidding me?!
You have GOT to give this truck a visit. You can follow 'em here.
