Illinois Man Arrested While Shopping At Target With Weapon In His Cart

According to patch.com,

A Bolingbrook man, who had a machete in his shopping cart at Target, was charged with unlawful use of weapon on Wednesday afternoon, Bolingbrook Police said.

 

Hayes was charged with unlawful use of weapon, obstructing a peace officer and a parole violation warrant. He was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

Imagine you're shopping at your neighborhood Target. A person walks by with a grocery cart like everything is normal. Then you look down and see a machete. That would kind of freak me out a bit. The only person I would trust with one is Indiana Jones.

Police were called in the middle of the day to the Target in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Several witnesses spotted the suspect walking into the store with a machete in his hand. When the cops arrived, they found the guy roaming around the building. At that point, he had placed the machete into a cart. It must have gotten too heavy to carry. When officials approached the man, he didn't cooperate so they arrested him.

Unfortunately, I don't think he'll have enough time for Home Depot or Bed, Bath, And Beyond. Sorry, I had to include the "Old School" movie reference.
