Illness Leads to Kentucky Mall Food Court Inspection, Restaurant Closure
It began with several employees at a Chick-fil-A in Lexington's Fayette Mall falling ill and has now led to a closure of the entire food court.
WKYT/Lexington reports that the mall's Chick-fil-A location closed last week when multiple employees called in sick.
The restaurant chain remains closed today and has now been joined by the mall's entire food court.
WKYT reached out to the health department who, while not naming any other restaurant in the food court, decided to investigate the entire food court to see if the issue was more widespread than just coming from one business.
At this time, according to the report, only the Chick-fil-A in Fayette Mall is closed. The health department did not indicate if other restaurants in the food court would be closed while its investigation continues.
