It looks like there are quite a few strange things spotted in the Indiana skies in 2026. Check out where all of the UFO reports in the Hoosier State have come from so far this year.

When it comes to UFOs, we have seen and heard many reports over the past few years, especially on social media. About a month ago, on May 8, 2026, the government released dozens of declassified videos, military memos, documents, and more from over the past 80 years concerning UFOs. This has made the UFO talk even more interesting.

Now, personally, I have never seen a UFO of any kind in the sky. That's not to say that I don't think that something is out there. There's a lot of universe, and it would be an awful waste of space if Earth were the only planet to have intelligent life. I know that this topic can cause quite a debate between believers and non-believers. However, sometimes you see objects in the sky that you simply can't explain. Was it a satellite, a plane, or something out of this world?

When it comes to UFOs over Indiana skies, there have been a total of 2, 886 reports of unexplained flying objects throughout the years. Just in 2026 alone, there have been a dozen reports so far this year. Let's take a look at some of these reports.

Indiana UFO Reports in 2026

So, there's a website called the National UFO Reporting Center or (NUFORC) that tracks reports of unexplained anomalous phenomena or UAP. In 2026 alone, there have been 12 reports of UFOs in Indiana, and we are only halfway through the year. Many of these are described as orbs, spheres, triangles, random lights, and more. Now, some of these reports are pretty wild, while others could be simply explained or debunked. However, for those who are curious to see what exactly people are reporting over Indiana skies, here are a few examples.

01/12/2026- Rochester, Indiana

"A horizontal line of orb-like lights (yellow/white) in color appeared - perfect alignment. They blinked out one by one from left to right - giving almost a merging effect. They reappeared in a new location (heading west) blinking on one orb at a time."

03/30/2026- Richmond, Indiana

"I was just driving gazing at the sky and I noticed a strange cloud that looked like a mustache. I thought it was kind of funny but at second look I knew instinctively and immediately that was not a natural cloud as it moved in a way I have never seen any thing move. It just didn't make sense and it didn't belong there."

04/16/2026- New Harmony, Indiana

"We sat down on some logs at the South bank of the Wabash River around 11pm, looking directly across the river. Shortly after we sat down, 2 people in our group of 5 said “Guys are you seeing this in the sky right now?”- at that time it was 2 bright lights that looked like stars moving around almost in a ping pong like formation- as in not really a pattern, just slower random movements left and right. They moved in opposite directions, back to each other, then separate again. It did not appear to follow any specific path but it did stay within the same general vicinity we initially saw it in. They disappeared for a few minutes and then reappeared with an additional bright light object, which then joined the 2 others in the movement. They danced in the sky on and off for a very long time and appeared to be located above the Illinois skies across the Wabash river. Eventually, all 3 moved together and formed one super bright light, and then at that point it zoomed out of the sky super fast, almost like a shooting star."
