We all have our favorite restaurants to dine at in Indiana. There are so many options to choose from. Whether it be chain restaurants or local businesses, there are no shortages of great food here in Indiana. One of the best ways to dine out at some of these restaurants is by sitting outside on the patio. Of course, you only want to do it when the weather is just right. Not too hot, not too cold, no rain or snow, or any major wind to blow your food away. You know the kind of day that I am talking about. When it comes to restaurants in Indiana with outdoor dining, there are a lot of options. Some of these restaurants are primarily known for their outdoor dining too. So, which restaurant in Indiana has the best outdoor dining? Let's find out.
Indiana Restaurant Named Best in State for Outdoor Dining
Summertime is the perfect season to enjoy a meal outdoors with family and friends. No matter what style of cuisine you are craving, there are several restaurants scattered throughout the state that offer beautiful patio seating that makes for an unforgettable summer afternoon. Recently, LoveFood compiled a list of the best outdoor dining in each state. When it comes to Indiana, LoveFood says that the restaurant with the best outdoor dining in the state is Bluebeard in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis is an unsung foodie city and there are plenty of great spots for patio dining. Make a beeline for <a href="https://bluebeardindy.com/" target="_blank">Bluebeard</a>, a hip Modern American restaurant that's housed in an old warehouse. The laid-back patio is filled with trees, blossom-filled in spring and strung with fairy lights in winter. The menu is made for sharing with small plates including shrimp toast with red curry coconut sauce and mushroom velouté.
Now, I am sure that the food here is great. I mean the Manhattan and the spaghetti look delicious. However, this isn't really what I pictured in my head when I thought about what the best outdoor dining in Indiana would look like. As you can see in the photo above, this is the building, and there's some outdoor dining in the middle there. But I can't help to think that the best outdoor dining location should be somewhere with a great view. A restaurant along the river or a lake, where you can catch a nice breeze and look out at the view in amazement.
So, no offense to Bluebeard, but I have seen much better-looking restaurants with outdoor dining in Indiana than this. Then again, all of this stuff is subjective. At the end of the day, just go where the food is good and a place you enjoy. My opinion and LoveFood's idea of the best outdoor dining might be much different than yours.
