UPDATE: More Storms Possible in IN, KY, and IL Today

This morning, I woke up and saw that we were in a Tornado Watch. No biggie - right? We live in the new tornado alley. I was peacefully working and then my phone started going bananas. I turned on the Eyewitness News livestream and hear Wayne say, WARRICK COUNTY GET IN YOUR TORNADO SAFE SHELTER! Just then, I opened the door and heard a LOUD sound. We headed to the basement and went into our tornado shelter (where we discovered the dog pooped in.)

Emerging, we found a bunch of damage in our backyard. Our shed is destroyed. Our grill flew across the patio. We have shattered glass everywhere from our patio furniture. Listening to the live stream, there is a TON of damage everywhere.

And, unfortunately, we might not be done yet.

MORE STORMS COMING

The National Weather Service is warning of another line of storms.

"Another round of severe weather may also develop later in the morning through early afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front. The greatest risk for additional severe weather will be in southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. Again, all modes of severe weather will be possible with the second round.

Outside of thunderstorms, strong wind gusts to 30 to 40 mph are possible today."

The NWS goes on to say, "A second line of strong to severe thunderstorms will develop ahead of an approaching cold front Tuesday morning. Some of these storms may become strong to severe, especially over southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. Damaging winds look to be the primary threat. The timing looks to be between roughly 9 AM and 1 PM CDT."

A marginal risk means isolated severe storms are possible, with the threat of isolated damaging winds, small hail and maybe a tornado.

A slight risk ramps up the probability, with more storm reports.

The enhanced risk notes more numerous or widespread severe storms -- some of those can be intense.
