There Are Auditions in Nashville, TN for a Brand New Musical About Dolly Parton

Well, if you're a fan of Dolly Parton, you're gonna wanna tumble out of bed, stumble to the kitchen and pour yourself a cup of ambition when you hear this news- especially if you're a musical theatre fan or local actor or actress. Dollywood Parks and Resorts will be in Nashville, Tennessee in mid-December hosting auditions for a brand new musical. That musical is based on the life of the legendary Dolly Parton and, according to the official audition notice, will be told through her songs and stories.

According to Dollywood.com, producers with the upcoming show are looking for both female and male performers.

The audition notice for FEMALES reads as follows:

SEEKING: Professional female country singers that can move/dance to bring to life a new musical show that tells the story of Dolly’s life through her songs and stories. For the audition please prepare 2 contrasting country songs 45 seconds each. Be prepared for a movement/dance portion of the audition. *You may also be asked to do a vocal callback on the day of the audition.
