Kentucky 5th Grader Selling Christmas Candy to Raise Money for Kids with Cancer
'Tis the season for Christmas candy and a Meadow Lands Elementary School 5th grader from Owensboro is ready to bake it up for you. For the second consecutive year, Raelyn Duncan is serving up some delicious Christmas candies and breads to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Raelyn has been raising money for the kids of St. Jude for the last few years. During that period of time, she created K9 Cookies for Cancer and she's been baking up homemade dog treats ever since. However, during the holiday season, she's also baking up treats that her mother proudly labels fit 'for human consumption.'
Here are Raelyn's 2023 offerings!
CINNAMON, SAUSAGE & BLUEBERRY BREAD
Loaves of bread are just $5 a piece.
HOT COCOA BAGS
Raelyn's hot cocoa bags are $4 a piece. I can speak from experience about these. I sampled her hot cocoa bags last year and they were fantastic. Everything you need for an amazingly satisfying cup of hot chocolate is tucked right there in each bag.
PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE
Raelyn is selling her delicious peanut butter fudge for $10 per pound.
As Raelyn's mom Karen explains, "It's a great way to give a Christmas gift to a teacher, office friend, neighbor, and give to St Jude all at the same time!! What a win win!"
And, of course, Raelyn isn't forgetting about man's best friends during the holidays. The 'puppers' enjoy Christmas presents too.
HOMEMADE DOG TREATS
Homemade dog treats are just $5 per bag.
And, as they have in the last couple of years, Raelyn and Karen will ship orders too if you cover the cost of shipping. You can place your orders by messaging via Facebook.
Payment can be made via Venmo.
Or you can pay via PayPal.
