Here You Come Again: Dolly Parton’s New Travel Stop Is the Best Pit Stop in Tennessee
There's no question that "out on the street the traffic starts jumpin" on Pulaski Highway in Cornersville, Tennessee.
That's where Dolly Parton's brand-new Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop is located and a western Kentucky family just made their epic first visit and they're sharing a fun peek inside.
Belinda Meador and her family made a pit stop there on their way back from Panama City Beach, Florida over the weekend. For reference, Dolly's Tennessean is located off Exit 22- "about thirty minutes before you get the popular Buc-ee's stop in Alabama." As Dolly said in her news conference when her travel plaza opened, "I couldn't leave it to beavers!"
And she hasn't! Dolly's Tennessean is everything a true Dolly Parton fan expects. Belinda immediately noticed that Dolly's songs were playing over the speakers. She also noticed a fun Dolly pun at the dog walking area outside.
Yes! That says, "Doggy Parton!" LOL.
Inside, there are even more tributes to Dolly. Belinda says, "Pictures don't do it justice." But, luckily, Belinda shared some photos that will at least give you an idea of what it's like.
This was my personal favorite pic. It's a chandelier made from electric and acoustic guitars!
There's also this- a dedicated place where you, like a true 9-to-5-er, can pour yourself a cup of ambition.
You will definitely yawn, stretch, and come to life if you stop here. Belinda says Dolly's Tennessean is relatively small, but very crowded. It is jam-packed full of Dolly fans and memorabilia.
Belinda and her family LOVED their experience. In fact, they're already planning a return trip. She says, "I'm definitely going back just to go when the crowd calms down." But will it?
One thing that we have learned from the 'beavers' is this. If you build it, they will come. And, Belinda's photos are proof that they're coming for Dolly!
