Take it from me. If you have the same hoarding tendencies that I do, you should take advantage of this upcoming event here in Owensboro, KY! As a matter of fact, the last time Daviess County Fiscal Court hosted a paper shredding event, I took full advantage and my work office looks organized because of it. I got rid of years worth of files from my office. I am not sure why I was still keeping papers that dated back to the early 2000s, but I had them. Folders FULL of them. But, I made the decision to purge the office and I'm glad I did.

Here's your chance to do the very same thing. There's a FREE paper shredding collection event scheduled for Friday, September 15th and you're invited to bring in your old files (been there, done that, careered it), receipts, canceled checks and tax forms.

Daviess County Fiscal Court has teamed up with Piranha Mobile Shredding for this one-day event.

According to the official Daviess County Fiscal Court Facebook page, the event is open to ALL Daviess County residents, businesses, nonprofits and institutions. The limit is 100 pounds per person.  I can assure you. I had multiple trash bags FULL of old files and I didn't come close to that individual cap. 100 pounds is A LOT of paper.

If you have any questions, you can call the Daviess County Solid Waste Department at 270-229-4484. Otherwise, just show up September 15th and let 'er rip.  Or, I suppose I should say, "Let 'er shred!"
