Muhlenberg County High School State Championship Bass Fishing Team Make Kentucky Afield [WATCH]
The Muhlenberg County High School Fishing Team had three teams that qualified for Nationals in Lacrosse, Wisconsin last week, and they were also featured on Kentucky Afield over the weekend. Coach Cody Napier has created a fishing dynasty with these talented student-athletes. Watch the full episode here.
NATIONAL AND WORLD'S HIGH SCHOOL BASS FISHING TOURNEY
Last week, 393 boats took to the water in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. The Muhlenberg County High School Bass Fishing team sent three teams to the tournament. Your 2023 KHSAA Bass Fishing State Champs Brock Vincent and Dade Vincent were a team. Chase Rickard and Isaiah Smith were ready to bring home a trophy, and Spencer Shemwell and Gavin S Lee rounded out the teams. They all fished their hearts out, but the competition was tough. Every student-athlete made us proud!
Congratulations to Brock Vincent & Dade Vincent for finishing 26th place with 8lbs & 15ozs. Spencer Shemwell & Gavin S Lee finished 110th place with 6lbs & 14oz. And Isaiah Smith & Chase Rickard finished 130th place with 6lbs & 7oz. There were 309 teams Fishing today in the 2nd chance round. The top 10 moved on to fish the World Finals tomorrow. Coach Napier has a knack for recognizing talent and creating a dynasty, by winning 5 State Championships. Most recently they won the 2023 KHSAA Bass Fishing State Championship while the Muhlenberg County community cheered them on.

I'm so grateful that my husband never misses an episode of Kentucky Afield. It makes my heart happy when some of our best and most talented make the show! Muhlenberg County High School Bass Fishing Coach, Cody Napier and the Kentucky State Championship Team, Brock and Dade Vincent were featured on Kentucky Afield over the weekend. They took to Kentucky Lake, had fun, and caught a lot of fish. It was a great episode, and we're so proud of the entire Muhlenberg County Fishing Team. Congratulations on another championship season.
