Bar to Bar Comedy Crawl Coming to Owensboro KY
Getting to the point where you're CRAWLING out of a bar at whatever hour is not optimal, but "crawls" are.
The pub crawl or bar crawl is actually NOT a recent phenomenon; it originated in the early 20th century but really exploded in the 80s and 90s. And before we get to the "crawl" in question, familiarize yourself with the Bar Crawl Live definition:
A bar crawl event is a planned and organized activity that involves visiting multiple bars or pubs in a single night. The term 'crawl' refers to the slow and steady pace of moving from one bar to another, as opposed to rushing or sprinting.
The Comedy Crawl Is Coming to Downtown Owensboro
Now what about a comedy crawl? Yes, if you put two and two together, you come up with, well, the modern-day equivalent of a troubadour. Theatre Workshop of Owensboro and Visit Owensboro have teamed up for a night of big laughs with "Comedy Crawl, It's T.W.O. Funny."
On Saturday, March 23rd, downtown Owensboro will echo with laughter as six restaurants/bars host comedy sketches after which the performers will guide their audience to the next location.
Here's How Comedy Crawl Works
Wonderful food and drink specials will accompany the Comedy Crawl which will begin that afternoon at noon at Lure Seafood and Grille. At 12:45, actors and guests will "crawl" to SIP. Goodwood is up next at 1:30, followed by Brashers Lil Nashville at 2:15, the Pub on Second at 3 PM, and, finally, Brew Bridge at 4 PM.
Says Visit Owensboro's Dave Kirk about this unique event:
People are looking for one-of-a-kind experiences and the Comedy Crawl is the perfect example of a unique collaboration that offers a reason to get downtown and enjoy its amenities.
And with Comedy Crawl happening in early spring, there's a chance the weather will be just perfect for "crawling" through downtown Owensboro. Tickets go on sale February 19th at theatreworkshop.org.
"Comedy Crawl, It's T.W.O. Funny" is a 21-and-over event.
