Owensboro’s Got Talent Returns to Theatre Workshop

It's back! For the first time in years, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is bringing back its popular talent contest series called Owensboro's Got Talent. As in past installments, there will be three preliminary rounds leading up to a finale event, where the champion will be crowned and lots of prize money will be handed out.

Owensboro's Got Talent is set to return in May of 2024. The preliminary rounds are set for three consecutive Saturdays- May 4th (Derby Day), May 11th (BBQ & Barrels) and May 18th (the day after the Friday After 5 season opener). Each preliminary audition will take place at 7pm at T.W.O.'s Trinity Centre.

Owensboro's Got Talent is truly a showcase for ALL talents. Audition applications are open to magicians, comedians, singers, songwriters, dancers, musicians, jugglers, actors, acrobats, poets, visual artists, storytellers, speed painters and more.

Judges at each preliminary event will select acts to advance to the Owensboro's Got Talent finale, which is set for Saturday, May 25th, at Theatre Workshop's Empress Theatre. Showtime is 7pm. The Owensboro's Got Talent grand champion will be awarded $1250. Second place wins a $750 prize. Third place gets a $500 prize.
