During that 26-hour broadcast, we'll share stories of inspiration and hope from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.

This year, to kick start our St. Jude fundraising season, we're going to be heading to the Edge, lacing up our ice skates, and hitting the ice for a fun event and you're invited to join us. Skating for St. Jude will take place from 6pm to 8pm on January 4th and the cost will be just $7 per person. That will include your admission and skate rental and $4 from every admission sold will be donated to St. Jude. Doors will open at 5pm.

And adding some more fun to the evening will be WBKR air personalities. Mary-Katherine Maddox and I will be rink side playing your favorite country music, chatting with the crowd and having some really fun giveaways. WBKR's midday personality Barb Birgy and our afternoon drive guy Dave Spencer will be there on the mic as well.

We'll also have some special appearances by local teenagers who are raising money for St. Jude.
