Kentucky Basketball Named in FBI College Hoops Probe
More information about an FBI investigation into college basketball malfeasance has come to light and some of the biggest names in the sport have been mentioned.
One of those names is Kentucky. Other names are Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, and Michigan State.
We're talking about college hoops blue blood programs.
The corruption scandal broke about five months ago and since then, college basketball analysts, fans, coaches (probably), have been waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Yahoo! Sports has gotten a hold of, among other things, one very incriminating balance sheet full of names of college basketball players to whom loans were given.
One of those names is BAM, a player who, according to the Yahoo! exposé, has been identified as Edrice "Bam" Adebayo who played for Kentucky in 2016-2017.
Nerlens Noel, a one-and-done from the 2012-2013 season, is also on the list.
According to ESPN, UK coach John Calipari has denied having any relationship with NBA agent Andy Miller, the central figure in the probe.
Kentucky has issued a statement saying it will cooperate with authorities.
