Kentucky General Assembly to Discuss “Medically Necessary Marijuana” in January Session
28 states currently have laws approving the use of medical marijuana. Kentucky may be added to the list in the future.
SB 304 which is also being called the "Cannabis Compassion Act" will be introduced and discussed when the General Assembly reconvenes on Tuesday. The act will need to be amended to define what the use will be. A general definition is the act will help with palliative and hospice care. Many states only allow a certain amount to be used in medical marijuana usage.
