The Kentucky Headhunters put on one heck of a show on Saturday night in Ohio County, but more importantly it helped those in need in a big way. What a giving community.

The Kentucky Headhunters took the stage in Beaver Dam and played to a capacity crowd on Saturday night, June 13th, 2020. This is thought to be the first “Drive-In” concert, with a live band in Kentucky, since the COVID-19 Pandemic began months ago. It was a huge success and everyone had a blast.

The concert also helped to raise money for the Ohio County Food Pantry. The event raised over $1,500. Attendees also donated over 150 pounds of non-perishable food to help fill their shelves. That will help so many people in need.

Thank you to the Beaver Dam Tourism Commission for putting this FREE event together. It's safe to say that we all needed that sweet relief.

I had the chance to talk to Richard Young, of the Kentucky Headhunters leading up to the show. He was very excited to perform and you can hear the interview below!

Becky Geary, Executive Director of Beaver Dam Tourism Commission stated, “Our goal with this special concert was to provide the community a fun and safe experience. We had several hundred folks filling the parking lot enjoying the show. We followed all CDC, State, and local guidelines. I’m so proud of our team of DAMbassadors (Beaver Dam Volunteers) and all of the work they did. It was an incredible night.

Heath Eric, Promoter for Beaver Dam concerts added, “The teamwork involved in producing this event was exceptional. With safety as our top priority, we were ecstatic to work with the City and Tourism Commission to bring LIVE music back to the folks in our region. We brought in a 45’ X 33’ video screen and folks were able to enjoy the concert from several hundred yards away. It was inspiring to see so many people enjoying an evening with the Kentucky Headhunters, safely.”
