Drug-Free Owensboro/Daviess County have partnered to launch an educational campaign to warn citizens, especially parents, about the dangers of synthetic drugs such as K2 and  Spice. The launch event will take place, April 19 at the Owensboro Police Department, 222 East 9th Street at 9:00 a.m.  

The event will announce the launch of the campaign with the release to the public of a 20-minute DVD on the dangers of synthetic drugs featuring Sgt. Jeff Roby, Owensboro Police Department, Debbie Poole, Owensboro Medical Health System, and Jeff Jones, Daviess County Coroner; moderating the video is Al Mattingly, Daviess County Judge Executive and Ron Payne, Mayor of the City of Owensboro.  Along with the DVD, a brochure for parents and those who work with teens and young adults will be made available.
