Local Teen To Become Honorary Police Officer
The Evansville Police Department is making the dream of one local teen come true!
18-year-old Nic Didia was born with congenital muscular dystrophy and is usually seen sitting in front of his mom's shop on Franklin street making sure the area is safe for everyone. He is out there so much that his nickname has become "Patrolman of Franklin Street"!
Well, today..his dream is coming true as the Evansville Police department will hold a special ceremony to name him an honorary Evansville Police Officer.
The ceremony is expected to take place around 10am outside Milk and Sugar Scoop Shoppe.
