
Local Vietnam Veteran Being Honored At O’Charley’s In Owensboro Tuesday
O'Charley's in Owensboro will be honoring Army veteran Bill Oelze as its Hometown Hero Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
Bill served in Vietnam and he is currently Commander of the VFW 696 Owensboro Post. There will be a presentation of flags before the singing of the National Anthem. Following the ceremony, Bill and his family and friends will enjoy a complimentary dinner at the newly renovated O'Charley's.
O'Charley's is honoring Hometown Heroes at 30 remodeled restaurant locations this year in conjunction with the company's revitalization and reimaging plan. They have a longstanding history of honoring veterans and active duty soldiers. More than 100 individuals have been honored during the Hometown Heroes program.
