You never know when an emergency might happen. If you have an iPhone, you can help first responders by updating your Medical ID in your Health app. It only takes a couple of minutes. Not only could save your life but it also allows others to access your emergency contacts even when your phone is locked.

First, open the HEALTH app which comes standard on iPhones. It's the white app with a heart on it. Go to Medical ID at the bottom right.

From there, make sure the green 'Show When Locked' button is on and then fill in the blanks which include medical conditions, medications, allergies and emergency contacts. Update and you are done!

To see it live, go to Emergency on your lock screen and click Medical ID.
