Marty Brown Discusses His Exciting Induction into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame

Marty Brown, who originally hails from Maceo, Kentucky, has been on a lot of big stages. In the early 90s, he had made a name for himself as a singer-songwriter in Nashville and, with the release of his debut album, was on the cusp of greatness in country music.

Then, nine years ago, Marty was back in the national spotlight again when he audition for America's Got Talent and made it onto the show and eventually sang his way through to the semifinals.

Since that time, Marty has enjoyed his second run at success and that's about to culminate in a huge way next Friday evening at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center. That's where Marty will be formally inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame as part of the 2022 class.

And he's going to be in some sensational company that evening.

Of course, the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame is already full of huge names in music and Marty will be included among some icons of country music:  Loretta Lynn, Tom T. Hall, the Everly Brothers, Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, the Judds, Dwight Yoakam, Crystal Gayle, Patty Loveless, John Michael Montgomery, Keith Whitley, the Kentucky Headhunters, Montgomery Gentry, and Billy Ray Cyrus and more.

There's no doubt it's an absolutely huge honor and Marty joined Angel and me on our radio show today to talk about his induction.

Before he gets into the Hall of Fame, Marty's got some more work to do. This weekend, he's headlining IMFROMTHECOUNTRYFEST 2022 in Greenville, Kentucky. Of course, that's an ode to the biggest hit of Marty's songwriting career- "I'm from the Country" by Tracy Byrd.

IMFROMTHECOUNTRYFEST is 6pm to 10pm, Saturday, October 22nd and Marty's going to be joined by some special friends for the show. Take a look!
