Meet Ethan the Intern from Western Kentucky University

Hi everyone! I'm Ethan Payne, the new intern here at WBKR. I'm a senior at Western Kentucky University, and I'm a broadcasting major with a minor in sales.  Here's more about me!

I grew up here in Owensboro, and I've been here all my life. I'm the oldest of three children, and I have two sisters, both of whom are now in college as well. I went to Mary Carrico School in Knottsville from kindergarten through 8th grade. I went to Daviess County High School and graduated from there in 2015. I then chose to attend Western Kentucky University and pursue a broadcasting degree, which I am still in the process of working towards now. I'm so thankful for Chad giving me this great opportunity to be an intern here at WBKR. I've listened to WBKR all my life, and to now have the opportunity to be around the staff here is truly a blessing for me. I'm hoping this internship, coupled with my bachelor's degree in broadcasting, will lead to some sort of opportunity in the future. I've really enjoyed my time here at WBKR, and I look forward to being here in the coming weeks.
