Mesker Park Zoo announced today that on April 15th, their Mexican Gray Wolf gave birth to a litter of 5 pups, 4 males and 1 female. That's a lot of work for one mama! They said that she gave birth as a part of their conservation effort to help the Mexican Gray Wolf population as they are among the most endangered species of wolves with just over 100 in the wild.

They said 3 of these pups were flown out to Arizona to be with a "foster" mom in the wild and the other 2 will be kept at Mesker Park Zoo and raised by the adult wolves in their habitat at the zoo.

We are so proud and excited to announce that our Mexican Grey Wolf female has given birth to pups! On April 15th she had 5 pups (4 males and 1 female). This is a huge event for us, as part of the on-going conservation project, we're able to reintroduce 3 of these pups into the wild!

Mexican Grey Wolves are the most endangered wolf species with only just over 100 left in the wild. It fills us with pride and happiness to be a part of such an important conservation program and work with such passionate individuals!

The remaining pups are being raised by the adult wolves in their habitat at Mesker Zoo and will be more visible in the weeks to come.

Check out the video to learn more about their journey.
