I know anyone who went to Thruston Elementary School is going to remember the book Miss Nelson is Missing.  Ms. Nation read that book to us!  You remember the story, don't you?  Miss Nelson has the worst class in school.  The kids in her class are absolute brats.  And then, one day, Miss Nelson is mysteriously replaced by Viola Swamp, who may the scariest and meanest substitute teacher EVER!  So, the kids set out to find Miss Nelson to get her to come back to class.  I LOVED that book.  And, now, it's been turned into a musical that is coming to the Kentucky Center for the Arts in September.

Here's a video preview of the musical.  Adventure Theatre performed this a couple of years ago . . .

Now, StageOne in Louisville is bringing this classic children's book to life!  Miss Nelson is Missing will run from September 9th through the 23rd.  Tickets are $20 for ages 13+.  $15 for ages 1-12.  And the show is recommended for grades K - 3rd Grade, which is about how old we were when Ms. Nation shared the book with us at Thruston.,
