Muhlenberg County Daughter Requests Cards for Father [PHOTOS]
Courtney Peveler is requesting colorful cards to brighten and decorate the room of her very ill father. This is a perfect, teachable moment if you have children, a vacation bible school or daycare.
On Father's Day, we featured this wonderful Dad and his beautiful daughter. Things have taken a turn for the worse since then, and our hearts are broken for this family. Trent's doctors have given him weeks to live, after his long-hard fight against cancer.
Courtney just wants to do something. Anything, to make him feel loved and special. Which he is. Some children at Nelson Creek Baptist Church made some inspirational cards for Trent this week. Courtney is challenging others to do the same, if they can.
You can drop them off at Stellians in Central City, or here at the WBKR Studio on Frederica St. This would be a perfect teachable moment. Put down the electronics, movie watching on the tablet and do something special for someone else. Whether you know the person or not. This is a chance to help ease, a little tiny bit, of the anxiety that Trent and his family are facing. A great project for children, a vacation bible school, church group or daycare. This is a great way for people of all ages to help one another.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our neighbors during this truly difficult time. We also pray for peace and comfort for Trent. Your WBKR family loves you all.
