The NBA is gaining three Kentucky Wildcats. Jamal Murray was drafted at number seven by the Denver Nuggets. UK had more players drafted than any other team and the SEC had seven players drafted overall just edged out by the ACC with eight being picked.

As predicted, LSU's Ben Simmons was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers at number one. Duke's Brandon Ingram was drafted by the Lakers at number two. In the time John Calipari has been coach at UK, fourteen Cats have been drafted over seven seasons. Skal Labissiere was drafted by the Phoenix Suns at number 28, but he was later traded to the Sacramento Kings where he'll join former Cats, DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo, and Willie Cauley-Stein. Tyler Ulis on the other hand, will join four fomer Cats, Devin Booker, Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, and Archie Goodwin in Phoenix. Ulis was drafted 34th overall.
