A new city ordinance will come as good news to Owensboro food truck operators who now have an expanded territory in which to sell their wares.

14News/WFIE reports that food trucks may now park within 100 feet of existing restaurants.

However, while this comes as welcome news to those operators, there are restaurateurs who were, understandably, not too pleased by the decision.

But the indication is that many of these food truck operators plan to respect those brick and mortar businesses and stay beyond that 100 foot limit.

And WFIE even spoke to one restaurant owner who has no problem with the decision at all, saying that there's a mutual respect at play here and he doesn't anticipate any issues.
