Old National Bank joins corporations, community organizations and individuals in celebrating National Volunteer Week (April 15 – 21, 2012). ONB encourages and promotes volunteerism and community commitment in a variety of ways. Last year, Old National associates logged more than 77,000 volunteer hours collectively. Recently, Old National presented its annual Volunteer of the Year Award to associate Ben Joergens. In addition, ONB launched a special community investment campaign with a volunteer participation drive.Old National allows associates up to 2 paid hours of work time each month for community volunteerism. "Old National has a passionate commitment to community. Volunteerism is an essential corporate value," explained Bob Jones, President and CEO. "It’s a way of ensuring our own success and the success of our communities and our community partners."

Ben Joergens, Commercial Relationship Manager in Henderson, Kentucky, devoted 467 hours of his time to volunteer service in 2011 and has become one of Old National's strongest and most passionate supporters of financial literacy and economic development activities. Joergens has been an active community leader in a variety of organizations including the Bank On Henderson initiative, an ambassador for the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Henderson Project, United Way of Henderson County, Tri-State Food Bank, Junior Achievement and more.

 Volunteer of the Year Old National allows associates up to 2 paid hours of work time each month for community volunteerism. "Old National has a passionate commitment to community. To complement the efforts of Old National’s associate volunteers, it is hosting a participation drive in which volunteers can earn money to donate to a nonprofit organization in their region. The participation goal is to have 75% of associates volunteer throughout 2012. Each ONB region achieving the participation goal will receive a $500 grant to give to a local nonprofit.
