Beloved Owensboro Chick-fil-A Employee Makes Fun Radio Debut
In a recent story here at WBKR, I profiled Adam English, an incredibly friendly and popular employee at Chick-fil-A's location here in Owensboro. Shortly before writing that story, I met Adam, naturally, in the drive-thru line. I was zipping back to the station for a conference call, but decided I had time to grab a quick lunch (a #1 with no pickle, waffle fries and a Chick-fil-A lemonade). When Adam brought me my sack of food, he noticed that my sweatshirt read "WBKR". He asked if I worked there and I responded, "Yes, sir. I'm Chad. I'm on the morning show."
Adam then said, "I would LOVE to have a career in broadcasting. That's a dream of mine."
So, since Angel is on vacation, I invited Adam in to be my Guest DJ today. We took some fun photos of Adam getting used to the WBKR studio. It didn't take him long to get settled in. Looks like a natural, doesn't he?
And, he plopped right down where Angel sits and took hold of the mic like a pro! Just don't tell her. LOL!
If you missed the show, here's our Robbie Lee's Roundup segment. Adam helped me tackle this morning's country music news.
You can catch Adam at Owensboro's Chick-fil-A location Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. He works the drive-thru like a boss and always greets his customers with enthusiasm and a joy. You can also find him Sundays at Kroger on Highway 60. He's a cashier there and works from 12:30pm to 9pm and, his words, will "greet you when you walk in the door" and sometimes you can "hear (him) from Aisle 13."
Well, this morning, folks all over the tristate could hear him from right here at Aisle WBKR!
